Adult Classes

You are welcome in any of our adult classes at any time.

The Next Inquirers’ Class will begin September 17 at 7:00 pm for six consecutive Wednesday evenings in the church library. These classes are planned for prospective members, all interested inquirers who would like to know more about the congregation, and current members who wish to brush up on basic biblical and theological concepts. This class does not necessarily lead to church membership here at Ebenezer, but it is required for those who plan to make that step. Please pre-register by calling the church office at 765-9430 or e-mail Diane Oliver at doliver@ebenezerlutheran.org.

The Catechumenal Process: This ancient discipleship process hearkens back to the early centuries of the church. The group is particularly aimed at adults seeking baptism at the Easter Vigil and current and prospective members seeking deeper discipleship, baptismal reaffirmation at the Easter Vigil and a closer walk with Jesus and his Church. The group will experience a period of open inquiry, sharing of written spiritual autobiographies, spiritual gift discernment, reflection on the classic Christian disciplines and public worship rites. Come learn about this centuries-old practice of “making disciples” which follows the rhythm and power of the Church year through the Day of Pentecost.

Leader: Pastor Frank Honeycutt, 765-9430, fhoneycutt@ebenezerlutheran.org
Day and Time: Participants will decide; meeting weekly for 90 minutes for eight months.
Orientation: Sunday, September 21 beginning at 7pm in the church library
